Bedford Free School is located on Cauldwell Street in Bedford town centre, right at the heart of the Bedford and Kempston communities.
Anyone can apply to come the school, our location makes it possible for all parents and children in Bedford and Kempston to consider Bedford Free School as their secondary school destination.
The design and type of our building is perfectly suited to the Bedford Free School education vision, modelled around precisely what works best for our teaching and social activities.
With a recently added £2,000,000 purpose built rooftop extension housing a flexible use school hall, drama studio, changing rooms complete with showers and a newly extended school canteen. This new school has grown to house the now full compliment of students.
The school also benefits from a high-standard of equipment suitable for delivering our vibrant and varied curriculum, is also fully accessible for all children, whatever their specific needs.
At Bedford Free School, we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our students – and this includes our School site.
In addition to providing safe, designated drop-off areas for parents and buses bringing children to the School, our whole building is designed with safety and security as a top priority.
We are a small, intimate school, where teachers and students know each other and look out for each other. Safeguarding children enrolled at the School is of paramount importance, and we are fully committed to the protection and safe care of our students.
