AIMS

Computer Science at BFS helps students understand how computers work, how information is processed, and how to solve problems using technology. It combines theory and practical skills, from programming and algorithms to data manipulation and cybersecurity.

We aim to nurture pupils who are:

• Logical thinkers: Able to solve problems step by step.
• Creative and confident: Able to design programs, websites, and digital solutions.
• Technically skilled: Comfortable using software, programming languages, and computing hardware.
• Responsible digital citizens: Knowledgeable about online safety, ethics, and cybersecurity.
• Curious lifelong learners: Ready to adapt and continue learning in a digital world.

Advice for parents

Parents can support their child by talking to them about what they are learning in Computer Science, encouraging them to practise their programming skills, and taking an interest in how technology is used in everyday life.
