Sallie studied English Language and Literature at the University of Leeds before going on to complete her PGCE in Secondary English.
Sallie joined BFS in September 2017 as second in English and reading strategy lead, and in 2018 also took up the role of Director of Education and English for Advantage Schools, overseeing all aspects of educational performance across Advantage Schools. Sallie passionately believes that “education has the power to transform our lives and make us better people.”
At Bedford Free School, Sallie leads on Direct Instruction in English teaching. As Director of Education Sallie utilises her expertise in curricular development and resourcing to design and deliver professional learning opportunities for teachers across the Trust.
